In recent years, the number of divorces in Iran has increased dramatically. However, hidden from sight are the relationships which despite the presence of necessary factors for divorce, are still sustainable and in fact, suffer from emotionaldivorce. Therefore the purpose of this research is to study the relationship between sexual knowledge and attitude and also relationship beliefs and emotional divorce. In this descriptive correlational study, a sample of 230 female married nurses was selected from the hospitals of Khorramabad city, through simple random sampling. The instruments employed in this study included Sexual Knowledge and Attitude Scale (SKAS), Relationship Belief Inventory (RBI) and Emotional Divorce Scale (EDS). Based on the results of Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis, a significant negative relationship was found between the sexual knowledge and attitude and also relationship beliefs and the degree of emotional divorce. The belief in destructiveness of disagreement, sexual attitude, mind reading expectation, belief in unchangeability of spouse, and sexual perfectionism, respectively, could best predict emotional divorce. Family counselors and couples therapists could gain a better knowledge of the phenomenon of emotional divorce by studying the aforementioned variables and hence implement necessary interventions

This study has been conducted with the aim to predict marital commitment based on differentiation, family’s cohesion and adaptability, and marital intimacy among married women teachers in Hamadan city. In this descriptive correlational research, sample of 346 persons across all married female teachers in Hamadan were selected by multistage random sampling. Participants in the study completed a demographic form, the standard questionnaire of marital commitment (Adams & Jones, 1997), differentiation of self inventory (Skowron & Smith, 2003), flexibility and cohesion evaluation scale-III (Olson et al., 1985) and intimacy scale (Walker & Thompson, 1983). The results of multiple regression analysis showed that among all the predictors, marital intimacy has the biggest role in predicting marital commitment and after that are family cohesion and differentiation. In total, these three variables predict about 62% of the variance of marital commitment. The findings show that the experiences of the early development of the family, the quality of the relationship between mother and child and cohesion of family members, have important effects on couples’ interpersonal relations.

In the field of family resiliency, the resiliency model of family stress, adjustment, and adaptation was developed, initially. The family adaptation model (family protective factors) directly emanates from this work. The main purpose of this study was to examine reliability, validity, and confirmatory factor analysis of Farsi version of the Inventory of Family Protective Factors in a sample of Iranian university students. A sample of two hundred and seventy-six voluntary and unpaid married students (177 females, 99 males), aged between 19 and 38 years old (24.19 ± 3.24 years), were selected through convenience sampling in some universities in Mazandaran, Iran. All participants were asked to complete the Inventory of Family Protective Factors (IFPF; Gardner, Huber, Steiner, Vazquez, & Savage, 2008), the Family Strengths Scale (FSS; Schumm, Bollman, Jurich, & Hatch, 2001), and the Marital Conflict Questionnaire (MCQ; Sanai Zaker, 2000). The findings confirmed the factor structure of the IFPF. The convergent and divergent validity of the IFPF were supported by an expected pattern of correlations between the scale and the measures of family strengths and marital conflict. All correlation coefficients between the mean scores of the IFPF and the scores of the FSS and the MCQ were statistically significant. The obtained internal consistency was markedly high (Cronbach’s α = .91). The test-retest reliability of the IFPF was .83. The results suggest that the Farsi version of IFPF is a reliable and valid measure.

The instrument used for data collection questionnaire Sanaee marital conflict, marital satisfaction (Enrich) and interpersonal forgiveness EHTESHAM was born and colleagues. In analyzing the data, the frequency, mean and standard deviation for the results of descriptive and multivariate analysis of variance and t-sample (Manoa) was used for analytical findings. Results: The results showed that the mean total relief t-sample is the significant relationship. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed a significant difference between the two groups is statistically significant is divorce. According to the statistics (001/0> p), thus there where between mean scores of two groups: normal and is divorced couples in marital satisfaction, marital conflict and forgiveness, there are also significant differences in Mvlfh¬ family strength between the ordinary couples in divorce due to the significant level (001/0> p) there are significant differences.
