Ethical Duties and Obligations of Authors
The author responsible for the article is responsible for the scientific accuracy of his/her article and for protecting the rights of other authors and their arrangement, and authors are required to ensure the accuracy and precision of the content of the articles. Publishing the article does not mean that its contents are approved by the journal.
The submitted article must not have been previously published in any publication. This must be clearly stated in the commitment form submitted by the corresponding author.
The submitted articles must be the result of original research by the authors submitting the article, and any use of research by other people must be mentioned in the article with the source cited. The research must be carried out carefully and objectively, and the data must be reported correctly.
The authors are required to inform the journal at any time they notice any errors or inaccuracies in their article, take action to correct them, or withdraw the article.
If any of the stages of submission, review, editing, or publication of an article in the journal or thereafter, an instance of unethical publishing and research behavior is confirmed, the journal has the right to take legal action against it.
According to the Helsinki Declaration, patients’ identity information should not be reflected in the articles and photographs.
The scientific, ethical, and legal responsibility (such as compliance with ethical codes, inclusion of the researchers’ names and surnames, accuracy of data, etc.) in the articles lies with the corresponding author.
Conflict of Interest: The Journal of Family Pathology, which is published under the license of Dr. Nasser Yousefi, is committed to implementing the recommendations of the World Committee of Editors on the responsibilities of authors and conflict of interest. When submitting their article, authors are required to declare information related to financial or other interests that have influenced the writing of the article; and also declare the sources of financial support for the article. It is essential for authors to complete and sign the commitment form.

Ethical Duties and Obligations of Editors, Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members
The authority and responsibility to select referees and accept or reject an article after obtaining the referees' opinions lies with the editor-in-chief and editorial board members of the journal.
The editor-in-chief and editorial board members of the journal must be professionally knowledgeable, specialized, and have numerous publications, as well as a spirit of responsibility, accountability, truth-seeking, fairness and impartiality, adherence to professional ethics, and respect for the rights of others, and they must seriously and responsibly contribute to achieving the journal's goals and its continuous improvement.
The editor-in-chief and editorial board members are expected to prepare a database of suitable referees for the journal and regularly update it based on the referees' performance.
The journal editor-in-chief must welcome in-depth and well-reasoned reviews, prevent superficial and weak reviews, and deal with biased, unfounded, or derogatory reviews.
The editor and members of the editorial board of the journal must take the necessary measures to record and archive the refereeing documents of the articles as scientific documents, and to keep the names of the referees of each article confidential.
The decision on the acceptance or rejection of articles must be made based on the evaluation of the referees' expert opinions and their accuracy, and scientific documentation and sufficient reasoning, and the application of personal, professional, racial, religious, etc. opinions should not get in the way.
The editor and members of the editorial board of the journal are obliged to promptly announce the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the article to the responsible author.
The editor and members of the editorial board of the journal must consider all information contained in the articles confidential and refrain from providing it to others and discussing its details with others.
The editor of the journal is obliged to promptly delete published articles in which it is determined that "unethical publishing and research behavior" has occurred, and to prevent readers and references from being indexed in a transparent manner.
The editor and editorial board members of the journal are required to promptly review and publish corrections and transparently inform readers of published articles in which errors have been found.
The editor and editorial board members of the journal are expected to welcome the publication of reasonable and acceptable criticisms of published articles.

Ethical duties of reviewers of the journal:
After reviewing the abstract of the article, the selected reviewer must immediately inform the editor of the journal of his decision on accepting or rejecting the review. Also, in the event of rejection of the review, the reviewer is expected to assist the editor of the journal in selecting a replacement reviewer.
The reviewer must be an expert and expert in the subject area of ​​the article. The reviewer should not accept articles that are far from his or her field of expertise. It is also appropriate for the referee to avoid accepting refereeing of articles with which he has a fundamental disagreement and may not be able to conduct a fair review.
The refereeing of articles should be based on sufficient scientific documentation and reasoning, and the application of personal, professional, racial, religious, etc. opinions in refereeing of articles should be avoided.
The referee must consider all information contained in the articles confidential and refrain from providing it to others or discussing its details with others.
The referee is not allowed to contact the authors directly regarding the articles under review. Any contact with the authors of the articles will be made only through the journal office.
