Familiarity with the process of self-care training and sexual education can make sexual education instructing volunteers stressful and create incorrect attitudes for them. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of Self-care training on dysfunctional attitudes in Volunteer women of instructing children’s sexual education. The research was a quasi-experimental study and a pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population in this study included all Volunteer women to take part in the courses of instructor training in sexual self-care skills  and sexual education held by the society of children rights support in 2018, 30 of whom were selected through purposive sampling and they were randomly replaced into experimental (15 individuals) and control groups (15 individuals). The questionnaire of dysfunctional attitudes (Wissman, et.al, 1987) was used in the current study. The data were analyzed via ANCOVA method. the results showed that Self-care training is effective on dysfunctional attitudes of sexual education instructing Volunteer women of the children (P≤0.05). considering the results, it can be concluded that Self-care training can decrease dysfunctional attitudes of the Volunteer women through employing concepts such as training technique of stopping anxieties and the principles of positive and optimistic thoughts and nurturing healthy personality and raising self-awareness; and as a result, they can show higher efficiency to train children’s sexual training.
